MARINA – Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel Root Mount Photocell Bollard Light
Stainless Steel root mount photocell bollard, the Marina is a 2mm thick marine grade stainless steel bollard light, suitable for commercial use. It’s in-built dusk to dawn sensor switches the light on automatically when it gets dark and then off again once it gets light.
Aluminium louvres in the strong bollard head ensure an ‘anti-glare’ light shines downwards and outwards. Importantly, Marine grade (316) stainless steel is the highest grade of stainless steel. These robust bollards are ideal for large pathways, commercial seating areas and driveways. These locations often require a high level of light.
The specially designed head allows for a large 20W LED corn bulb with a high lumen output (brightness). Our bright 15w LED lamp is a great option too. Both lamps offer bright illumination in either warm or daylight white.
A clear, UV stop polycarbonate diffuser surrounds the majority of the head (spares available). Silver aluminium internal louvres add character to the bollard and also act as anti-glare shields / protecting the LED bulb. All external screws are stainless steel allen (socket) type to ensure a completely rustproof and non-corrosive product.
The Professional ‘In-Ground’ Root Mount System gives extra security and stability. Importantly, the tubular bodies of Root mount bollards are different to a standard types. Extended tubes allow at least 400mm to be concreted in-ground, without losing any height above ground. A strong mounting bar inside the tubular body also acts as an anchor when set into concrete.
Distance between bollards – how far?
The distance between bollards varies depending on the bulb’s light output. Also the type of area and how much light you require. Below are some guidelines to determine how many bollards may be required for your project based on our recommended bulbs providing a constant light between each fitting:
-
- 20W LED Corn Bulb (DAYLIGHT WHITE) – 6m to 8m apart
-
- 20W LED Corn Bulb (WARM WHITE) – 5m to 7m apart

How far apart should my bollards be?
The distance between bollards will vary depending on what light output the bulbs used have, what sort of area is being lit and how much light is required.
