Timber Solar Post Light
Black or Silver Finish // Warm White or Daylight White
The Radiata Edisol timber solar post light is very robust; built to withstand harsh weather. Incorporated is a 360 degree round polycarbonate diffuser. As a result of the clear diffuser, light is emitted all the way around the light. The enclosed filament LED is also visible from all directions which creates a traditional look. The extended timber post allows sturdy root mounting into the ground by burying it. They are well-suited to rural areas such as parks, walkways, caravan parks, larger driveways.
When darkness falls, the solar timber post light will illuminate at full brightness, and then follow a gradual dimming sequence until it reaches a brightness of 30% after 5 hours. From then on it will remain at 30% until dawn. Even in the dullest of weather, our solar lights will still illuminate. This timber solar post light will illuminate for up to 23 hours at full charge. A prolonged period of bad weather may not allow full charge to be reached, but partial charge will still result in fair illumination times. Should the voltage of the battery drop below 3.1v, the LEDs will illuminate at 30% brightness.

Solar lighting – the time is now!
The current proactive drive to save our planet is positive and important. Solar energy is one of the World’s most innovative renewable power sources. It uses no power from the grid, just the sun to charge rechargeable batteries during the day, stored to be used at night. Subsequently, other benefits are clear, with no running and installation costs or ongoing maintenance.
Solar is the perfect solution to illuminating areas where hard wiring is not possible. Most importantly, solar is better for the environment. Solar post lights use a natural, clean, renewable energy source – the sun.
Timber Pine
The ‘Radiata’ range is so called, because of the solid Radiata Pine which is sustainably sourced. These wooden path lights go through outstanding treatment and are fully sanded to give a smooth top quality finish. As a result, during pressure treatment the entire timber is penetrated by the latest generation wood preservative. Tanalith E preservative treatment is used in accordance with BS8417 to meet Use Class 4. This wooden path light is well-known for its low splitting properties with no feathering. Sourced and CNC machined by a top FSC certified timber supplier, this Radiata pine is suitable for most climates, whether the environment is hot or wet. They are fully sanded creating a smooth, top quality finish.
As a natural material, it is common for cracking in the wood to appear. Usually this has no effect on the strength of the post and varies based on the moisture content of the wood. The preservative treatment helps to increase the moisture level, therefore reducing cracking. The best time of year for external installs of wooden posts is between October and March. This is because the sun is less intense, reducing the risk of rapid drying. Not recommended to install in waterlogged areas as this will have a negative effect on the wood.
As a natural material, Radiata products will possess structural features, such as knots, splits and twists.
